About Me
I am a qualified Humanistic Psychotherapist, with a Clinical Diploma and MSc from Metanoia Institute, accredited by Middlesex University. I have professional accreditation from UKCP and I am a registered member of BACP. I abide by the professional standards and code of ethics of these organisations.
I have worked for a number of counselling charities as well as in private practice. Before I trained as a psychotherapist, my career was in social policy research.
I draw on different psychological approaches adapted to suit your needs. I work with the connections between mind and body, what we can learn from the sensations and tensions in our body. I am interested in how our past impacts on how we are today. I apply learnings from neuroscience about how our nervous system affects us and ways of regulating and managing emotions. I work with a neurodivergent affirming and non-discriminatory approach.
My work is founded on humanistic values. This means that I believe we are all unique and important in the world. I see the potential for growth in everyone and the capacity for choice and change.
